Workshop-festival ImproTech Athens 2019

Improtech Paris – Athens is a workshop / festival dedicated to the alliance of the art of Improvisation and the culture of Digital Intelligence, and to co-creative dynamics between human and machines. It connects the french scene (in art and sciences) with another important city in the world (e.g. New York, Philadelphia, Athens, Tokyo) and includes high profile conferences, demos, workshops, performances/installations and concerts. ikP(x) creates a link between the european and worlwide research and creation scenes through the symbolic matching of Paris, where the event originated at Ircam, and an other emblematic city X. It is thus a unique opportunity for intercultural and interdisciplinary encounters among international research and creation communities. Improtech ikP(x) is organised by IRCAM and french partners, in conjunction with local institutions and partners in the target city X. For each new edition it allows the public to observe the aesthetic, technological and sociological developments that have taken place since previous editions.

ImproTech rassemble des universitaires, ingénieurs, musiciens, créateurs, autour de l’idée d’improvisation musicale avec intelligence numérique, prenant acte de l’émergence et du développement de ce nouveau champs créatif. Le workshop d’Athènes établit un lien entre la recherche européenne et mondiale et les scènes de création artistique à travers l’association symbolique de Paris, où l’événement a pris naissance à l’IRCAM, et une autre ville emblématique. Cette année, Paris sera connecté à Athènes, dans un arc puissant entre la science et l’art de l’improvisation, après l’édition Paris-Philadelphie de 2017 et celle de Paris-New York il y a quelques années.
